Couples therapy sessions are designed to support you and your partner in addressing communication, connection, and conflict challenges in your relationship. After completing a comprehensive relationship assessment with your therapist, with detailed feedback and tailored treatment plan, sessions will focus on evidence-based skills learning and application. For couples navigating addictions, infidelity, trauma, and/or separation with co-parenting, additional treatment pieces are brought in. Treatment is informed by the Gottman-method, drawing on extensive research by (and training with) The Gottman Institute. Treatment begins with a conjoint assessment, followed by individual assessment sessions, before proceeding with skills learning and application sessions.
